Undercover goes gold

EA has announced that Need for Speed Undercover has gone gold, and is ready for production.

The latest iteration of the acclaimed driving franchise sees the return of cops after a luke-warm reception to Need for Speed Pro Street. In fact, Undecover has you playing as a cop.

Undercover has players racing through speedways, dodging cops and chasing rivals as they go undercover to take down an International crime syndicate.

The new game introduces the new 'Heroic Driving Engine' - a "unique technology that generates incredible high-performance moves at 180 miles per hour during breathtaking highway battles".

Need for Speed Undercover is being developed by Black Box in Vancouver, B.C., and is slated to be in stores in in Europe on November 21 for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, DS, and PSP.
