EndWar heads to handhelds
Ubisoft has announced that EndWar, the highly anticipated next-gen RTS, will also be heading to the handhelds on November 7.
Previously scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 and PS3, EndWar has been optimised for the PSP and Nintendo DS by Funatics Software. In light of the hardware limitations, Funatics has done away with the real-time voice-command system in favour of turn-based strategy with simultaneous move and attack phases.
Three separate campaigns are on offer in the single-player mode, which play through the battles of each of the game's three factions - the elite U.S. Joint Strike Force, European Enforcers Corps or Russian Spetsnaz Guards Brigade - with 30 scenarios per faction. Two players will also be able to play additional missions specifically designed for multiplayer battles, or share battlefields that they've built in the mission editor.
EndWar is scheduled for release for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, and Nintendo DS on November 7.
