Gran Turismo will be coming to PSP

Even though the game has been stuck in development limbo now for a number of years, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that Gran Turismo will be making an appearnace on the PSP (PlayStation Portable).

Speaking at the Tokyo Game Show recently, Yoshida was asked what about the status of Gran Turismo for the PSP, and replied, "Good question! It's in Polyphony Digital, they're working on it."

Yoshida says the reason behind the delay is that Polyphony have been busy working on other projects.

"They have been working on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 for PS3, so they've had to focus on finishing up Gran Turismo on the PS3 side," he said. "That's been making the PSP development a little bit slow."

Though he was willing to stand behind its definite eventual release, Yoshida would not comment on any possible release date.
