Fable II goes gold
Fable II has gone gold, and has been released for manufacturing, according to reports.
Peter Molyneux, the enigmatic lead designer of Fable II, has revealed to Actiontrip.com that the game is finished and ready for production.
"It always feels like a little bit of a miracle when you finish a game," Molyneux told Actiontrip. "This is the biggest game we've ever done. Lots of times it just seemed impossible that it was ever going to get finished. The trouble is these things never stop. Just because we've gone gold doesn't mean there aren't a million other things to do."
In addition to the standard retail version, Fable II will be offered in a Limited Collector's Edition through participating retailers and will feature a making-of DVD, extra in-game content, a collectible Hobbe figure, and five printed Fate Cards.
The standard edition Fable II will have an estimated retail price of £44.99 and the Limited Collector's Edition will retail for an estimated price of £49.99.
Fable II is set for an October 24 release on the Xbox 360.
