Exclusive DLC for PS3 Mirror's Edge

It's not the timed exclusive that some had hoped for, but PlayStation 3 owners have been assured that some exclusivity will be guaranteed with a PS3 copy of Mirror's Edge.

A storm of controversy and confusion arose from a mis-quote last month, after German site Heise Online published David Reeves as saying the Electronic Arts title will arrive on PS3 first.

EA was quick to point out the error, and Sony has since done the same, telling Eurogamer, "There was a misunderstanding in terms of the quote that Mirror's Edge is to be a timed exclusive on PS3."

It's not all bad news for Sony fans, though, with the same spokesperson going on to say, "PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title," adding, "Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."

Mirror's Edge is set for release later this year on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
