Successful start for Leipzig GC
Europe's biggest computer and video games fair, the GC - Games Convention in Leipzig, began yesterday with crowds of visitors.
38,000 gaming fans (as compared to 35,000 in 2007) flocked to the Leipzig Exhibition Centre from 9.00, eager to test out the latest games and the respective hardware.
8,000 trade visitors had already registered yesterday in the GC Business Center (2007: 6,000). Through to Sunday, a total of 547 companies are occupying an area of 115,000 square metres to show their products for interactive entertainment, including more than 300 world, European and German premieres.
The exhibition halls will be open daily from 9,00 to 18.00, and to 20.00 on Friday and Saturday.
