EA announces Tiberium delay

EA has announced that Tiberium, a first-person shooter set in the Command & Conquer universe, has been pushed back into their 2010 fiscal year.

The announcement was made by EA during a conference call to investors.

The game was originally scheduled for release later this year, but the revised schedule means that it will now only be released sometime between April 1st 2009 and March 31st 2010.

Tiberium is a first-person shooter being developed at EA's Los Angeles studio and is set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

It's also EA's second attempt at a Command & Conquer FPS after 2002's Renegade, which saw gamers take their place in the geart of the Command & Conquer battlefield as Commando Nick 'Havoc' Parker.
