Hoping to put your balance board to more use, Nintendo has announced that Namco Bandai's Family Ski for the Wii is heading to Europe on June 13th, 2008.

Combine your Wii remote and Nunchuk to push off with your ski-poles and negotiate the twists and turns of the Happy Ski Resort slopes. But it's the optional use of the balance board as actual skis that will make Family Ski even more appealing a prospect.

There are a variety of slopes, from the gentle incline of Rabbit road to the dizzying heights of Lion Park. Skiing novices cal learn the tricks and techniques at Ski School, inclusing basic skills llike Parallel Turns, Skating and Crouching techniques.

Family Ski also features a number of challenges, like finding a lost child or delivering food to a resort. You'll also be able take photos on the slopes.
